Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about PdfToLedger.
Is PdfToLedger free to use?
Yes. You can extract up to 2 bank statements per day without any account. Sign up for a free account to get 5 extractions per day.
Are my files stored on your servers?
No. Your PDF is uploaded to our server only for processing. Once the transactions are extracted, the file is immediately discarded. We never store your bank statement data.
Which banks are supported?
PdfToLedger works with most Indian banks that produce digital (not scanned) PDF statements, including SBI, HDFC, ICICI, Axis, Kotak, PNB, Canara, and many more.
What if my PDF is scanned or image-based?
Scanned PDFs cannot be processed — they contain images of text rather than actual text. PdfToLedger requires digital PDFs (the kind you download directly from your bank's net banking portal).
What format is the output in?
Transactions are exported as an Excel (.xlsx) file with columns for Date, Description, Debit, Credit, and Balance. It works with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is needed for the first 2 extractions per day. Create a free account to get 5 extractions per day.
How accurate is the extraction?
PdfToLedger uses a machine learning model trained on a variety of Indian bank statement formats. Accuracy is high for most standard formats, but complex or unusual layouts may occasionally produce errors. Always verify the output against your original statement.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, the interface is fully responsive and works on modern mobile browsers. However, for the best experience we recommend using a desktop browser.
